San Ramon, California - San Ramon Mayor Abram Wilson, who won re-election yesterday with 96% of the vote in his home City of San Ramon, announced today that the Lincoln Club of Northern California State Political Action Committee has endorsed his campaign for Assembly in California's District 15.
"The Lincoln Club of Northern California PAC is honored to endorse Mayor Abram Wilson and make the maximum contribution in his June 2010 State Assembly campaign," said Lincoln Club Chairman Ed Poole. "We believe Mayor Wilson will bring common sense back to state government and improve the quality of life of all Californians. It is important that we elect a leader from the Bay Area that better understands how to bring jobs to our communities."
Founded in the early 1980s, the Lincoln Club of Northern California and its PACs have been central to the success of scores of Republican candidates for office at the local, state and national level. Members of the Lincoln Club include elected leaders, policy experts and political thinkers who drive modern American politics forward. Lincoln Club individual members and the Club's federal and state PACs contributed over $13 million to Republican candidates and causes since 2005.
"I'm so honored to have the support of the Lincoln Club in my 2010 bid for State Assembly. I look forward to working more closely with the organization and promoting their mission of a pro-business agenda for the State of California," said Mayor Wilson. "Business regulations have a stranglehold on California. It's time to roll-back some of this needless red tape and focus on bringing jobs to our state."
